Wearing a light blue wetsuit (潛水衣) that matches the colour of the sea will make you less likely to be attacked by a shark, according to researchers. Sharks eat meat like dolphins, seals and whales, but they are unable to distinguish between colours. They are completely colour blind and only see things clearly if their colours are mostly light or dark, scientists claimed. It is hugely beneficial to divers sailing in shark-filled waters. Costumes or wetsuits that disguise (掩蔽) swimmers’ bodies in the sea water are less likely to draw a shark's attention than ones with bright colours.

Professor Nathan Hart, from the University of Western Australia, said,n It's the high contrast against the water that is probably attractive to sharks. So you’d better wear less bright colours or colours that match the background in the water."

The U. S. Navy has made tests that suggested sharks were able to see yellow most clearly. The tests were to see what would be the best colour for the life jackets (救生衣) that pilots wear in case they have to splash down into the ocean. Professor Hart said it was the high degree of yellow, but not the colour itself that would increase the visibility (能見度) of sharks. He said, " It may be possible to design swimming suits and surf crafts that have a lower visual contrast (視覺對比) to sharks. Therefore they are less attractive to them."

The dogsled (狗拉雪橇) race was about to begin. Dogs of Julie's team were lined up at the starting gate. Julie stood behind them. The air was very cold. Other teams were lined up,too, and the dogs were excited. At exactly ten o’clock, she and the other racers shouted, " Mush!" The dogs knew well what it meant. They started running and the race began!

Julie had trained them for months for this race, and she hoped she and her dogs would win. Now,they ran over snowy hills and down into frozen valleys. They stopped only to rest and eat. The dogs 9 thick fur helped keep them warm in the cold wind and weather. In many places along their way,the snow was deep. Pieces of ice were as sharp as a knife. The ice could cut the dogs 9 feet. To keep that from happening,Julie had put special booties on their feet. Once, one of the sled's runners slid into a hole and broke. Julie could have given up then, but she didn't.     In different countries, classrooms are arranged differently.

In the US,classrooms usually have many single desks for each student. Most of the time, they all face the whiteboard in the front of the classroom. But when there is a certain activity, children can move their desks freely. Since children often change classrooms, they put their daily items in a personal locker along the corridor (走廊) .

In the UK,most classrooms are similar. There are usually no more than 30 students in every class. Most of the students are required to wear school uniform. Usually, two children share a long desk. There is enough space among the desks so that teachers can walk around.

In Japan, the classroom arrangement is similar to that in the US. Every student has a single desk. On the back of the classroom, there are places for students to hang their clothes.
