　　This is just an informal
meeting for us to get to know each other. First of all, Dr. Ryan, Professor
Watson and myself will say something briefly about all the work we are doing,
and the lectures we will be offering this term . If any of you have any
questions , feel free to ask them . When we have had our say, would each of you
tell us something about your research interests? Now let me start. I'm now
doing research in electronic engineering and I will be giving some lectures on
this subject every Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 . Students are welcome to
