1.由地點(diǎn)和時(shí)間副詞引出的完全倒裝句:以地點(diǎn)副詞here, there和時(shí)間副詞now, then 開頭,后面的動詞是be, come, exist, fall, follow, go, lie, remain, seem, stand等,而主語又是名詞時(shí),構(gòu)成完全倒裝句。eg :Up climbed the boy when his mother came.
Out rushed a missile from under the bomber.
例:Here comes the postman!(郵遞員終于來了!
Here we are.(我們到了。

The government-run command post in Tunis is staffed around the clock by military personnel, meteorologists and civilians. On the wall are maps, crisscrossed with brightly colors arrows that painstakingly track the fearsome path of the enemy.
What kind of invader gives rise to such high-level monitoring? Not man, not beast, but the lowly desert locust(蝗蟲). In recent months, billions of the 3-inch-long winged warriors have descended on Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, blackening the sky and eating up crops and vegetation. The insect invasion, the worst in 30 years, is already creating great destruction in the Middle East and is now treating southern Europe. The current crisis began in late 1985 near the Red Sea. Unusually rainy weather moistened the sands of the Sudan, making them ideal seedbed for the locust, which lays its eggs in the earth. The insect onslaught threatens to create yet another African famine. Each locust can eat its weight (not quite a tenth of an ounce) in vegetation every 24 hours. A good-size swarm of 50 billion insects eats up 100,000 tons of grass, trees and crops in a single night.
All ﹩150 million may be needed this year. The U.S. has provided two spraying planes and about 50,000 gal. of pesticide. The European Community has donated ﹩3.8 million in aid and the Soviet Union, Canada, Japan and China have provided chemical-spraying aircraft to help wipe out the pests. But relief efforts are hampered by the relative mildness of approved pesticides, which quickly lose their deadly punch and require frequent replications. The most effective locust killer dieldrin has been linked to cancer and is banned by many Western countries and some of the affected African nations. More than 5 million acres have been dusted with locust-killing chemicals; another 5 million will be treated by the end of June.
On May 30, representatives of Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Mauritania will meet in Algiers to discuss tactics to wipe out the ravenous swarms. The move is an important step, but whatever plan is devised, the locust plague promised to get worse before the insects can be brought under control.

Botswana lies immediately to the north of South Africa. It is bordered on the north and west by Namibia, on the north and east by Zimbabwe, and is connected by a narrow strip of land on the northern border to Zambia. Its territory consists almost entirely of a broad, flat, arid subtropical plateau(高原), though there are hills in the eastern part of the country.
In the northwest, the Okavango River empties into the Kalahari sands, creating the largest inland river delta in the world. While the Okavango Delta is home to relatively few large animals in comparison to other areas of Botswana, its clear waters and countless small islands are home to a variety of birds, plants, and smaller species of animals.
Nearby is Chobe National Park, a beautiful grassland reserve(保護(hù)區(qū)) that has gained international fame for its large elephant population. Southeast of Chobe are Botswana's large Makgadikgadi salt pans, home to numbers of blue wildebeest, several antelope species, and those international lovers of salt pans, flamingos(a kind of birds).
Almost the entire remaining portion of the country is covered by the Kalahari Desert--a varied environment of sand and grassland. Although this area of Botswana is where few people live, it is one of the richest wildlife areas in all of Africa.
Botswana's two largest parks, the Central Kalahari Game reserve and Gemsbok National Park, are found in this region.
Botswana's climate can get rather cool, particularly during the dry winter months of June to August when night occasionally brings frost. The rainy summer months (December through March) are best avoided for those interested in enjoying the best game viewing conditions.

Most of my earliest childhood memories are of the beach — in the hot sun, building sandcastles, burying Dad in the sand.

Now the coast has a pleasant and relaxing attraction beyond words. I look forward to a windy cliff-top walk or a rainy day rock-picking just as much as those rare moments when I get to a short sleep in the sun. But there’s nothing more pleasurable than turning up at a beach to find it deserted.

These are my favourite secret beaches — ones either not well known or take a bit of effort to get to. Most of those listed scored highly in the Marine Conservation Society Good Beach Guide 2009; the others are too secret even for them.

Sennen Clove is just a mile northeast of Land’s End, the westernmost point of mainland England. It’s a beautiful spot, with white sands, deep green sea and amazing sunsets over the Isles (群島) of Scilly, 28 miles away.

The west-facing beach is popular with surfers, with bigger waves and winds often found at the Gwenver end. There’s a beach restaurant with good views of the bay and the sunsets.

The smallest of Isles of Scilly, Bryher is a mile long, half a mile wide — and a natural wilderness of unbelievable scenery. Walk along the narrow sandy roads to the eastern seaboard and you come to two quiet beaches.

Green Bay has views over to the palm trees of Tresco’s Abbey Gardens, and a little further south is Rushy Bay, a beautiful beach facing the deserted island of Samson.

On Bryher, farm shops sell locally grown produce, and they trust you to leave the money in the pot. It’s that kind of place.

1.The best title for this passage is ________.

   A. The Beautiful British Isles

B. Secret Beaches on the British Isles

   A. The author is a tourist guide in a tourist agency.

   B. The author likes walking on a rainy cliff-top most.

   C. The author wrote the article to advertise for the beaches.

   D. The author loves beaches that are not known to most people.

3.Which of the following maps can correctly describe the geography position?

(LE=Land’s End    SC=Sennen Cove        IS=the Isles of Scilly)

4.In the author’s view, farmers on Bryher are ________.

A. sincere            B. selfish        C. courageous     D. mean

In recent weeks , small groups of young people appeared on downtown sidewalks in Changsha, Beijing and other cities , holding signs with the words "free hugs ,and offered embraces to any passer-by who would care for one. "

Calling themselves " the hug league" ,they said they were inspired an international news story of a similar type and intended to promote human contact in the face of growing alienation(疏遠(yuǎn))in urban china.

We Chinese ,contrary to what is shown in our love movies and television shows , rarely run into each other's arms and cry our hearts out .We are raised in a culture of emotional restraint(克制)。We mark our meetings and departures with a wave of hand and  a handshake of light touch . Not so long ago , even young lovers hugging in public places were considered rude.

But that doesn't mean we are immune(免疫的)to the wonderful feeling of human tactility(觸感)。I remember my mother was visibly moved when I hold her hand for the first time while walking her across a busy street in the U.S. The circumstance made it more natural .But cultures don't evolve overnight ."It's hard to get rid of the old belief that man and woman shouldn't have any physical contact ,"some explained .In the late 1970s some feared that social dance would lead to sexual (侵?jǐn)_).But the awkwardness was overcome as more and more people came to accept dancing with partners who were not their spouses (配偶)as a perfectly normal form of recreation.

In this environment of changing social customs manners , how people act could be the working many factors ,including their personality. Some offer bear hugs to everyone they know while others would shiver at the thought of medical personnel touching them with a stethoscope(聽診器)。The line between proper and improper often shifts(移動)with the sands of circumstances.

Offering hugs to strangers on the street is too radical(激進(jìn)的)a step to have any meaningful impact on our customs. If anything , the huggers should start with their loved ones.

72.The writer think that __________

A free hug is not acceptable at present

B free hug is a proper custom in china

C offering hugs to strangers is nothing new in China

D man and woman should not have any physical contact

73.According to the passage , free hug_________

A was invented by some Chinese youths

B was introduced from other countries

C was intended to find lovers among the strangers

D was beneficial to a person's emotional health

74.The words "contrary to " in Paragraph 3 mean"_______"

A opposite to    B different from    C similar to     D the same as

75.The writer give the example of the social dance to ______

A prove that we are immune to the feeling of human touch

B indicate that the society is always changing

C show that many western customs are being accepted

D show that cultures don't evolve overnight
