Dear editor,
     I'm a student of Senior Three of a middle school in Fujian Province. I'd like to tell you my opinion about
kind of common behavior I have noticed. It seems that many students enjoy listening to MP3 players while
doing other things.
     Some people say if you listen to music on an MP3 player while doing your lessons, you will work more
effectively. But personally, I don't think it's wise to listen to music while doing certain things. For example,
if you need to concentrate while you are studying, the music might draw your attention from the subject.
     In fact, if you are going on a field trip, you might forget to think about where you are going and get lost
or not be aware of dangers such as wild animals. Also, and more seriously, if you are riding a bike and cannot
hear the warning sounds of cars or trucks, you risk being knocked down and hurt. Therefore, I am against
the use of MP3 players while doing other things.

For instance, music can relax you and this can make you feel happier while doing your homework. Also,
music with a good beat can make you feel more lively, and this is very good if you are going on a field trip.
You can walk a long way full of energy. The same is true for tiding a bike You will not only feel more energetic
but also more excited. This makes riding a bike fun and helps you get to where you want to go quickly. So for
these reasons I am in favour of listening to music on an MF3 player while doing other things.
