Last Monday, our English teacher told us put our writing books on the desks so that he could check them. Honest speaking, I didn’t obey. However, I put my Chinese writing book on my desk. I really wondered how would happen. As the teacher found it out my trick, I pretended to be very surprising. “Oh, I’m sorry I took a wrong book for mistake because it has a same cover as my English writing book. I left my English writing book at home.” On hear this, the teacher said, “OK!”I narrowly escaped his punishment. Now I know I am wrong.
【答案】第一處:told us 后加 to
Honest→Honestly
However→Instead
第四處:how→what
第五處:刪除it (found后)
第六處:surprising→surprised
第七處:for→by
第八處:a→the
第九處:hear→hearing
第十處:am→was
第一處:told us 后加 to
tell sh to do sth,為固定搭配,意為“告訴某人做某事”,故在told us 后加 to
Honest→Honestly
However→Instead
However→Instead
I really wondered how would happen可知,how在賓語從句中作would happen的主語,主語不能用副詞,要用名詞做主語,故把how換成what。
第五處:刪除it (found后)
I pretended to be very surprising.
第七處:for→by
故把for改為by
第八處:a→the
:the same as… 惫拾a改為the
第十處:am→was

New Zealand is an island country in the southwestern of Pacific Ocean. The country geographically comprises two main lands—the North Island, or Te Ika-a-Maui, and the South Island, or Te Waipounamu, and numerous smaller islands. New Zealand is situated some 1,500 kilometers east of Australia across the Tasman Sea and roughly 1,000 kilometers south of the Pacific island areas of New Caledonia, Fiji, and Tonga. Because of its remoteness, it was one of the last lands to be settled by humans. The country’s varied topography(地形)and its sharp mountain peaks, such as the Southern Alps, owe much to volcanic eruptions. New Zealand’s capital city is Wellington, while the city that has the largest population is Auckland.
Polynesians settled in the islands that were to become New Zealand somewhere between 1250 and 1300 AD, and developed a unique Maori culture. In 1642, Abel Tasman, a Dutch explorer became the first European to sight New Zealand In 1840, representatives of the British Crown(王室) and Maori Chiefs signed the Treaty of Waitangi, making New Zealand a British colony. Today, the majority of New Zealand’s population of 4.5 million is of European descent(血統(tǒng)), and the indigenous(土著的) Maori are the largest minority, followed by Asians and Pacific Islanders. Dear Diary,
Here I am in the middle of a city,350miles far away from our farmhouse. Do you want to know why we move last week? Dad lost his job, and as Mom explained, "He was lucky to find other one ”. His new job meant I had to say goodbye to my classmate, my school or just everything else I love in the world. To make matters bad, now I have to share a room with my younger sister, Maggie. Tomorrow is first day of school. I am awfully tiring, but I know I'll never fall sleep.
Good night and remember, you, dear diary, is my only souvenir from my past life and my only friend.
Yours,
Rosemary

Home to me means a sense of familiarity and nostalgia(懷舊). It's fun to come home. It looks the same. It smells the same. You'll realize what's changed is you. Home is where we ran remember pain, live, and some other experiences; We parted here; My parents met here; I won three championships here.
If I close my eyes, I can still have a clear picture in mind of my first home. I walk in the door and see a brown sofa surrounding a low glass-top wooden table. To the right of the living room is my first bedroom. It's empty, but it's where my earliest memories are.
There is the dining room table where I celebrated birthdays, and where I cried on Halloween-when I didn't want to wear the skirt my mother made for me. I always liked standing on that table because it made me feel tall and strong. If I sit at this table, I can see my favorite room in the house, my parents' room. It is simple: a brown wooden dresser lines the right side of the wall next to a television and a couple of photos of my grandparents on each side. Their bed is my safe zone. I can jump on it anytime - waking up my parents if I am scared or if I have an important announcement that cannot wait until the morning.
I'm lucky because I know my first home still exists. It exists in my mind and heart, on a physical property(住宅) on West 64th street on the western edge of Los Angeles. It is proof I lived, I grew and I learned.
Sometimes when I feel lost, I lie down and shut my eyes, and I go home. I know it's where I'll find my family, my dogs, and my belongings. I purposely leave the window open at night because I know I'll be blamed by Mom. But I don't mind, because I want to hear her say my name, which reminds me I'm home.

A.Open the window at night
B.lie down in bed to have a dream
C.try to bring back a sense of home
