Self – discipline (自律)
An elderly carpenter (木匠)was ready to retire. He told his employer his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely (悠閑的) life with his wife. The employer was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He built the house carelessly and used inferior (較差的) materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career (職業(yè)). When the carpenter finished his work and the employer came to inspect (視察)the house and handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."
What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.
So it is with us. Think of yourself as the carpenter. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

I firmly believe that self-discipline matters a lot for success. As the saying goes, the first and best victory is to conquer the self. Life is a continuous process of fighting and one can not achieve success without self-discipline.
I once took part in a summer camp. At the end of the camp, everyone was so tired that they left the camp with lots of rubbish. However, I stayed behind to help the trainers clean the rubbish. To my great surprise, I was told that cleaning the rubbish was the last test of the camp, so I was the only one who was announced qualified.
The experience makes a big difference to my studies and life. I think self-discipline is an important factor in my learning English well. Therefore, do not let a lack of self-discipline be an obstacle to your success.

When this happens, it hurts terribly the whole family feeling. So it seems right that teenagers should keep their secrets to themselves and their parents should allow their children that right.
