Two smart children — Benjamin Kan,12, and his sister Emily,11, found a stolen car in the forest near Brose Village yesterday morning. In return,the owner,Mrs. Judy Roberts,has decided to take the children out to dinner.
Both Benjamin and Emily are studying at Brose Village Secondary School. They were walking along a path on their way to school when they noticed a car partly covered with branches pulled from a tree. The children were a bit surprised because very few people parked their cars there. They looked inside the car and there was nobody in it.
The children found something went wrong. They wrote down the type of the car,its color and also its number. When they returned to their school,they immediately told their teacher what they had seen. The matter was reported to the police station. As a result,the policemen found that the car had been stolen from Mrs. Judy Roberts 9 garage two days earlier.
"I lost my car two days ago and I was very upset. I'm glad it has been found now. I really have to thank Benjamin and Emily. My husband and I will take them out to dinner. Pm going to write to the headmaster of Brose Village Secondary School to thank their teachers,M Mrs. Roberts said.
Benjamin and Emily's teachers took great pride in having these two small detectives (偵探) . Benjamin and Emily are not only students but also responsible members of the community,n Principal Hui said.
