Oxford graduates sell faces to pay £50,000 university debts

Business is growing for two graduates who decided to pay off ( 償清) their university debts by selling advertising space on their faces .Ross Harper and Ed Moyse, both from Oxford , are selling advertising space for hundreds of pounds a day and have earned more than £25,000 since setting up business last October.
Anyone can buy the advertising space , from businesses to individuals or groups, on a day-to-day basis, through the pair’s website, buymyface .co. uk. The logo (標識) is then seen by people as they go about their daily business. The pair sold their first face ads to friends and family for just £ 1 a day, but as need has increased, so has the daily price , which has reached an amazing £400 by now, the end of May. So far , the main customers have been Paddy Power , the online betting agency ( 網(wǎng)絡博彩企業(yè)), and accountancy firm ( 會計事務所)Earnest & Young , which is now the website ‘s official sponsor ( 贊助商).
Moyse and Harper said , “ It’s our special way of paying off our student debts. We’ve seen so many students unsuccessfully applying for jobs , only to find one that they never really wanted. It’s just something a bit different and has taken off quite nicely.”  ( 236 words)

A dog can’t speak any words, but it can “talk”. It has feelings just as you do. Sometimes it may feel angry or afraid. Watch a dog closely, and you can find out how it feels. You can see what it is trying to tell you. When you are afraid, you may look down. When a dog is afraid, it may run away. When you are angry with other people, you stare at (凝視) them. An angry dog also stares. Sometimes the hair along its back stands up.
Do you feel guilty(有罪的) when you do something you shouldn’t do? Dogs can feel guilty, too. Sometimes when I come home, my dog gives me a guilty look. Then I know he did something wrong.
Dogs need love and care. Some dogs are very unhappy when they are alone for a long time. Some dogs even snap (撕咬) if they don’t get enough care.
You may have a dog or you may know a dog. Take care of it well if you want to have fun with it. Take it on walks. Don’t make it do too many things. Try not to punish (懲罰) it again and again for doing the same thing. Always remember, a dog has needs and feelings just as you do. Talk to a dog, and it will talk to you.

As he got closer, he saw that the young man wasn’t dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.
He called out, “Good morning! What are you doing?” The young man stopped, looked up and replied, “Throwing starfish in the ocean.” “I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing starfish in the ocean?”
“The sun is up and the tide(潮汐)is going out. And if I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”
“But, young man, don’t you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it. You can’t possibly make a difference!”
