In fact, all the eighth-graders in Texas may be talking about it. According to a new state law, before the school year ends, students should decide to learn one of five areas of study in high school. They include business and industry, arts and humanities (人文學(xué)科) ,and public service. Each area provides different courses.

Many middle schools hold meetings, start training classes and provide teachers to help students make decisions. But some students still feel undecided (猶豫不決) . "I have no idea what I want to do," Dorothy Isgur,Sabrina's classmate, told KERA News. "I have a lot of pressure. You don't want to make a bad decision because once you’re on a path you may stay on that path."
