Coming third in a race seems a JH casual achievement,but Su Bingtian made it so special by becoming the first Asian-born athlete to beat the 10-second barrier (界限) in the men's 100 meters. The sprinter (短跑選手) clocked 9. 99 seconds in the Eugene Grand Prix,US, on May 31 ,2015. This also became a new national record and broke the old one of 10. 00 seconds by Zhang Peimeng. “I can write my name into history now and will work harder and run faster,”Su told Xinhua News Agency.

   Su was born in 1989 in Guangdong. He became interested in running when he was a middle school student. When he was 15 years old,he took part in a sports competition in Zhongshan City and won first. Then he was chosen to be in the city and province running teams for more specific training. As a strong but a little quiet runner,Su was always loved by his teammates and coaches.

Unluckily,rain forests are disappearing at a rate of 80 acres per minute!As part of a class project,Myers’ students bought three acres of rain forest in Central America. They paid $ 25 per acre. In the middle of the week,a guide took Myers and his students into the rain forest. “The monkeys were not happy that we were in their forest.    Each student chose something specific about Costa Rica to study involving the plants,animals,food,and culture. During the last few days the group had time to do fun activities. They went whitewater rafting and horseback riding,and visited Costa Rica's active volcano.

   Myers hopes to make the trip every year with a different group of kids.
