Dear Headmaster,
These days we are talking about how to have a better school life. Here are some of my suggestions. First, I hope our school will open the library more often. Second, I think our school can organize more after-class activities. Next I hope our school will give us more time for sports, art and music. And I suggest our school should organize fewer exams as well.
As for our teachers, I hope they will be our friends and make classes more interesting. And if they can talk less and more clearly in class, we will be more interested in studying and have more time to practise. What’s more, I hope they will give us less homework and finish classes on time.
Hope my suggestions will be helpful.

閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容回答問題。
What to go on holiday, but don’t have enough money for luxury (豪華的) hotels and expensive trips? Backpacking might be right up your street.
Backpacking is a very cheap kind of travel. European and American students and young adults who may not have all that much money often do it. It is called backpacking because, instead of using a suitcase (手提箱), people put all their things in a large backpack. A backpack sits on your back, and you pack all your clothes inside.
The most popular places for backpacking are Southeast Asia and South America. These countries aren’t very expensive, and are also very hot for most of the year. India and Australia are also very popular. In 2002, over 400,000 backpackers hit Australia. Sometimes, backpacking can be dangerous. A British backpacker was recently shot dead at a beach party in Thailand, and every year similar things happen.
Backpacking, in fact, is much more than a holiday—for young people in Europe, it is seen as a way of learning about the world.
Backpackers often travel alone for many months, as this is seen as more of an adventure and challenge. Beyond finding new words, backpacking, people say, is all about “finding yourself”.
1.Is backpacking an expensive kind of travel?
2.Why is it called backpacking?
3.Where are the most popular places for backpacking?
4.How many backpackers traveled to Australia in 2002?
5.What do people think of backpacking?

In a school some trouble was caused by the students. They are very naughty and didn’t obey the school rules. They often fought with each other and they didn’t forgive each other. One day a new teacher came to this school. When he heard that, he came up with a good idea.
He told each of his students to bring a clear plastic bag and a bag of potatoes to school. For every person they didn’t want to forgive in their lives, they chose a potato, wrote the person’s name on it, and put it in the plastic bag.
Some of their bags were very heavy. They were then told to carry this bag with them everywhere for one week. They would put it beside their bed at night, on the seat when sitting in a car or on a bus, and next to their desk at school. Days of carrying the bags around with them made students get to know what a weight they were carrying in their minds. And they had to pay attention to it all the time so they didn’t forget it or leave it in embarrassing (令人難堪的) places. As time passed by, the potatoes went bad and smelt nasty.
Too often we think of tolerance as a gift to other people, and it clearly is for ourselves! If we choose to keep our sadness and hatred (仇恨) in our hearts, we will have to carry them around all our lives. After that, the students got on well with each other and didn’t fight anymore. Learn to forgive , and you will be happier at the same time.
