What is a MetroCard?
A MetroCard is a thin plastic card that is used to pay bus and subway fares in New York City ( NYC) . There are two types of MetroCards for sale in subway stations 一 Pay-Per-Ride MetroCards and Unlimited Ride MetroCards. MetroCards are not for sale on buses. You can buy MetroCards in subway stations with cash,credit cards or ATM cards. Be aware that bus@? only accept MetroCards or the exact fare in coins. Pay-Per-Ride MetroCards
Up to four people can ride together with a single Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard. If several people are riding together with the same MetroCard,the first person can swipe (刷 ) the card through the necessary number of times and the other riders can walk following him.
Unlimited Ride MetroCards
