The US

   "Bread and butter" is a famous expression in the US. It means the basic things to support someone's life. This expression may come from American's love of food made of wheat,especially bread. At breakfast,Americans like having a piece of bread with fried eggs and sausage. For lunch,many make or buy sandwiches. For dessert,they may eat bread pudding.

Mexico

   If you visit Mexico,you will find most of your meals contain corn. Most historians believed that com was local in Mexico in ancient times. Mexicans make com into tacos (玉 米卷) and tortillas (玉米粉圓餅) ，which appear in almost every meal. Usually,tortillas are filled with meat,rice,beans,or vegetables. Com chips are also popular there. People often eat them with chipped tomatoes.

Uganda

    Banana is a fruit,but people in Uganda eat it as their main food. Matoke is a special kind of banana. The banana is green on the outside and hard on the inside. People peel (剝) the banana and put it on banana leaves and cook it. After it becomes soft,it is then mashed (搗碎) . Then they mix it with cooked meat,peanuts and sauce.
